LenderIQ (“we”, “us”, or “our”) runs an AI-powered platform that helps people find non-bank and private lenders for business and commercial loans in Australia. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe.

By using LenderIQ, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please stop using the platform.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect what we need to help you. This may include:

• Your lending scenario: The details you tell us about what you need — for example, loan amount, property type, location, and your situation. This is what we use to find lenders that may suit you.
• Query logs: Records of how you use the platform, including scenarios you submit, questions you ask, lender matches you receive, and any follow-up queries. We use these to make our matching better over time.
• Advisory service records: If you ask us to help you work with lenders directly, we may collect additional information needed to facilitate that process, such as your contact details and communications between you and us.
• Usage and analytics data: Technical information like your browser type, device type, IP address, pages you visit, and when you visit them.
• Cookies and similar technologies: We may use cookies or local storage to keep your session running and for analytics.

Important: Please do not include sensitive personal information in your scenario submissions — things like your tax file number, date of birth, or bank account details. Our platform is designed to match lending scenarios, not to collect personal identity documents.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process your lending scenario and show you AI-generated lender suggestions.
• Provide advisory services if you ask us to help facilitate communication with lenders on your behalf.
• Improve the accuracy of our matching system over time.
• Monitor how the platform is running, fix technical problems, and prevent misuse.
• Create aggregated, anonymous reports about how the platform is used (no individual data is shared).
• Contact you about service updates if you have given us your details.

3. AI Processing and Third-Party Services

LenderIQ uses artificial intelligence — including third-party AI providers — to look at your lending scenario and match it against our lender database. When you submit a scenario, the text you enter may be sent to these AI providers for processing.

We choose AI providers that have strong security practices. However, by using LenderIQ you understand that your scenario data will be processed by third-party AI systems. We do not send any personal information to AI providers beyond what you type into your scenario — which is why we ask you not to include sensitive personal details.

4. Data Retention

We keep your query logs and scenario data for as long as we reasonably need them to provide and improve our service — usually no longer than 24 months. Anonymous, aggregated analytics data may be kept longer. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by contacting us.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encryption when data is sent to and from our servers, secure API key management, and access controls. That said, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that your data will never be compromised.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share information only in these limited situations:

• AI service providers: As explained in Section 3, your scenario text is processed by third-party AI providers to generate lender matches.
• Lenders (advisory services only): If you ask us to help facilitate your loan enquiry, we may share relevant scenario details with lenders on your behalf. We will only do this with your knowledge and at your request.
• Infrastructure providers: We use cloud hosting and database services to run the platform. These providers handle data on our behalf under appropriate security agreements.
• Legal obligations: We may share information if required by law, regulation, or a valid legal request.

7. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and other applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:

• Ask to see the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
• Ask us to delete your data (subject to any legal requirements for us to keep it).
• Make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe your privacy has been breached.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make important changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where we can, let you know through the platform. If you keep using LenderIQ after changes are made, that means you accept the updated policy.
